Evolved from BS15000, IEC/ISO20000 is an international standard that recognizes company's excellent implementation of IT Service Management best practices. The Standard ensures companies can apply a customer focus and risk based approach to continuously improve their IT services delivery.

ITSMF - HK Chapter is now presenting you a valuable chance to have a closer look to IT Service Management standard, which you certainly should not miss. With the presenter, from BSI group (British Standard Institution), we would like to share with you the workshop focusing on the following topics:

  • the major change of ISO20000:2011 which has just published in April this year
  • ISO20000:2011 briefing and ITIL comparison
  • Why ITSM? How ORGANIZATIONS and USERS can be benefit from this Standard?
  • What can IT profession get from this Standard - from Professional Qualification to Company Certification?
  • Is it very difficult to get qualified and certified? The pain and the GAIN!
  • Sharing of some successful stories and some quick-win tips.

This event is now open for member and non-member and is free of charge. As we have limited space, seats will be allocated to itSMF Hong Kong Chapter member first. Speakers' Profiles

Beata is Head of British Standards Institution, HK Assessment Delivery (ADS) & Training Service, as well as Deputy ADS Manager for SC. She manages the professional service delivery team providing independent certification audits against international standards, requirements and business processes across various industries, in particular financial institutions, telecom, IT industry. Her other duties include managing key customer accounts, risk assessments, gap analysis, benchmarking, and best practice.

Beata has another role in BSI as one of the core members of the Business Development Team where she is responsible for product development and promotion of internal standards, as well as conducting public trainings to professionals, focusing on Information Security Management System (ISMS) IT Service Management System (ITSM) and Business Continuity Management. Beata is a frequent speaker on information security in various public and in-house seminars.

Since joining BSI in 2004, Ms. Tang has served a wide variety of clients including the:

  • HK Monetary Authority
  • HK Police Force
  • Thompson Reuters Group HK, Singapore and Thailand
  • Pricewaterhouse Coopers HK
  • Hewlett-Parkard HK

Prior to this Beata was working in Big 4 international accounting firms as external auditor and an international bank as regional internal auditor.

Beata holds the Certificated Practicing Accountant CPA (Aust.), Certificated Information Systems Auditor (CISA), ISO 27001: 2005 Lead Auditor, ISO 20000: 2005 Lead Auditor (itSMF), IRCA - ISMS (Certified Lead Auditor) Instructor and itSMF ISO 20000 Lead Auditor Instructor.
